About This Site

What is this?

The Cape Rock is an unofficial, alternative, low-budget, low-budget, low-bullshit, non-commercial news publication. From our virtual printing press on this newfangled thang called the Internet, we publish news, humor, commentary, and information about Cape Girardeau, Missouri and the surrounding "MoArkTennIllKy" (Missouri, Arkansas, Tennessee, Illinois, and Kentucky) region.

Can I contribute something?

Yes, you too can have the ego-gratification that comes when your article is published. Just send in your piece to editor [at] thecaperock [dot] com. The Editor will read it, edit it, read it again, make some more changes, polish it, spell check it, read it again, and make a few more changes. Or, if he's feeling lazy that day, he may just publish the darn thing and not worry about it. Any major alterations the Editor deems necessary will be sent back to you for your perusal and approval.

Humor, news stories, editorials, general information, and Letters to the Editor are all welcome. If you don't want to write a full article, brief news tips or suggestions are also greatly appreciated.

If you've always wanted to see your name in print, here's your chance. Well, sort of: it won't be in print, but it will be distributed worldwide in electrons. Don't hesitate to send something in... the less writing we have to do, the better!

How do I contact you?

Please send your correspondence (article contributions, suggestions, comments, complaints, questions, etc.) to: editor [at] thecaperock [dot] com
