CAPE GIRARDEAU -- TheCapeRock.com, Southeast Missouri's longest-running humor publication (not counting "Speak Out"), proudly announces the aquisition of our third regular reader: Lirpa Sloof of Glenallen, Missouri. She joins our audience of regular readers during the fifth anniversary of our founding on April 1, 2000.

"This site continues to grow by leaps and bounds," boasted James Baughn, the site's founder and fake news reporter. "Thanks to the pioneering efforts of Dan Rather and the CBS Evening News, the fake news industry has found its place in the global marketplace, and we hope to enjoy continued success."

"I recently discovered the TheCapeRock.com and I've been hooked ever since," said Ms. Sloof from her single-wide on Route ZZ. "I mean, the printouts from the site make excellent bird-cage liner."

The site currently hopes to expand into other markets, particularly the drunk-out-of-their-minds college student crowd. "These people, when properly inebriated, will believe that anything is hilariously funny," said TheCapeRock.com's Director of Marketing and Book Cooking. "Even our stuff. We need to aggressively pursue this audience."
